Lenten chocolate cake

3 c. sifted flour
2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. oil
2 tbsp. vinegar
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. cold water

Sift together dry ingredients; add vinegar, vanilla, oil and cold water and mix well. Pour into an ungreased 9 x 12 x 2 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
